David joined Cisco, where he successfully held numerous international roles, in 1996. In 2008 he became Vice President. From 2009 to 2012, he was Managing Director of the Italian branch of the company. In the two years before the appointment of CEO of Cisco Italy, he held the position of Managing Director for the Enterprise Market customer segment in the European markets and also led ad interim the Public Sector European team. Prior to this, he was General Manager for the South-East Europe area. From September 2012 to January 2016 he has been Head of Southern Europe of Cisco Systems that includes France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel. Before joining Cisco, David worked at Sun Microsystems for 5 years. David has completed an Executive MBA at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, he’s a member of the board and Vice President of Stanford Club Italia. He is also a member of the board of Action Aid Italia and President of Donation Bay, a not- for-profit organisation born to sustain solidarity and volunteering activities toward different charity companies and to promote the Digital Culture. In the past David has been member of the board and Vice President of American Chamber of Commerce in Italy; member of the board and President of Assolombarda for the Monza and Brianza area; Vice President of Assinform; and member of the board of Fondazione Triennale di Milano. In November 2011, he received the ‘Premio Eccellenza’ prize, awarded every two years byManager Italia, CFMT and Confcommercio to top executives, companies and professionals for their contribution to economic and commercial development.
